NTSB Investigates Near-Collision at Reagan Airport
The National Transportation Safety Board announced an investigation into a recent near-collision at Reagan Washington National Airport. An American Airlines jet's takeoff was canceled by an air traffic controller to prevent a crash with a landing small airplane on an intersecting runway. The close call involved Flight 2134 and a Hawker Beechcraft Super King Air.

The National Transportation Safety Board said on Friday it will open an investigation into a near-collision earlier this week between an American Airlines jet and a small airplane at Reagan Washington National Airport.
The Federal Aviation Administration said earlier that an air traffic controller had canceled takeoff clearance for American Airlines Flight 2134 -- an Airbus A319 -- because a Hawker Beechcraft Super King Air was cleared to land on an intersecting runway at the airport.
