India Unveils $500 Billion Investment Boon in Clean Energy by 2030
India has announced over $500 billion worth of investment opportunities in clean energy, including renewables, green hydrogen, and electric vehicles, by 2030. Commerce Secretary Sunil Barthwal highlighted these prospects at the IPEF Clean Economy Investor Forum in Singapore, attended by major investors, policymakers, and companies from the Indo-Pacific region.

India has unveiled investment opportunities worth more than USD 500 billion in clean energy initiatives, including renewables, green hydrogen, and electric vehicles, by 2030, according to the commerce ministry.
Commerce Secretary Sunil Barthwal made the announcement in Singapore during the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework for Prosperity (IPEF) Clean Economy Investor Forum. The two-day event brought together top investors, clean economy companies, and start-ups to drive investments into sustainable infrastructure and climate technology projects.
Barthwal noted, "India offers more than USD 500 billion investment opportunities in the clean energy value chain, enhancing its infrastructure transition by 2030." The forum also observed that global investors committed USD 23 billion for sustainable infrastructure projects in the Indo-Pacific region.
