The NDA 3.0 government is gearing up to present a budget with a focus on infrastructure development and job creation. Economic analyst Sethurathnam Ravi predicts it will closely resemble previous budgets.

Key emphasis is on expanding infrastructure and capital expenditures (capex), particularly through private-public partnerships. Policies supporting clean and green energy, such as e-vehicles and waste-to-energy projects, are anticipated to align with Bharat's vision of Vikshit Bharat. Tourism and hospitality sectors may be given infrastructure status to enhance funding access, crucial for achieving targets of 15 million foreign tourists and 20 billion domestic travelers.

Continued increases in GST collections suggest a possible rationalization of rates, especially in the green energy sector. Personal taxation modifications, including higher exemption limits and specific health, pension, and education exemptions, are also likely. National pension schemes might see changes to reduce long-term government burdens, addressing employee apprehensions along the way.

This budget is expected to be a directional initiative focusing on infrastructure, job creation, and middle-class tax relief.
