More than one crore tourists visited Himachal Pradesh from January to June, marking an increase compared to the same period last year. In a significant boost to Himachal Pradesh's tourism sector, more than one crore tourists visited the state from January to June—a notable increase from the same period last year, officials confirmed on Wednesday.
Popular destinations such as Shimla, Manali, Dharamshala, Dalhousie, Kinnaur, and Lahaul and Spiti saw a surge in tourist footfall, driven by favorable weather and open roads.
Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu acknowledged minor road disruptions due to weather conditions but assured that most routes remain accessible. The state expects to welcome over two crore visitors by year's end.
