Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Friday conducted a thorough inspection of the Mumbai-Nashik Highway between Thane and Shahapur, urging various agencies to work collaboratively to enhance the road’s condition.

Shinde stressed the importance of teamwork and setting aside jurisdictional disputes to expedite both ongoing and pending repairs. He also instructed officials to deploy more manpower and resources to ensure the road is ready for consistent use without delays.

During his visit, Shinde inspected pothole-filling operations and the under-construction second Kharigaon bridge. He also pointed out that godowns between Bhiwandi and Mankoli were contributing to traffic congestion and poor road conditions, directing officials to manage heavy vehicle movement more effectively. Coordination among Thane, Raigad, and Palghar collectors was highlighted as crucial for resolving these issues.
