Tragic Nepal Accident: 51 Survivors and Bodies of the Deceased on Their Way Home

A devastating bus accident in Nepal involving pilgrims from Maharashtra claimed the lives of 27 individuals, leaving 16 others injured. The incident occurred in the Anbookhaireni area when the bus veered off the highway and plunged into the Marsyangdi river, officials confirmed.
Survivors and the bodies of the bus driver and cleaner are scheduled to return to India on Saturday evening, according to district officials. Upon arrival, they will be escorted to Gorakhpur under police protection and the supervision of an additional district magistrate. Essential provisions have been arranged for them at the border.
In Maharajganj district, near the Indo-Nepal border, authorities have organized six hearses, 11 ambulances, and a 42-seater bus for transportation. A medical team is on standby to provide immediate assistance. The deceased will be airlifted to Maharashtra following post-mortem procedures.
