Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy announced on Thursday that the state will implement a new framework for artificial intelligence (AI) as it aims to become a national hotspot for the AI ecosystem. During the AI Global Summit 2024 in Hyderabad, Reddy highlighted the city's preparedness to become a significant AI hub, declaring it 'perfectly ready' for the AI revolution.

'When any new technology comes, it brings both hope and fear—hope of how it will improve our lives and fear of job disruptions. For India's future, no city is as prepared as Hyderabad for this revolution,' said the Telangana CM, underscoring the state's proactive stance in nurturing the AI industry. 'In Hyderabad, we embrace the future and create it. Our commitment to AI goes beyond today; we have already made significant strides toward building a robust foundation for our future. The Telangana AI Mission, in partnership with NASSCOM, will enable the establishment of an AI framework in Telangana. We will continue to unite government and industry experts to drive innovation,' he added.

CM Reddy further asserted, 'The AI Summit in Hyderabad is our declaration that we are ready for AI. We will shape AI's future and set standards.' At the event, CM Reddy released the AI roadmap developed by the state government at the Global Summit.

The government has developed 25 programs for the AI roadmap, actively working towards enhancing the AI ecosystem in Telangana. During a recent visit to the US, CM Reddy urged the diaspora to invest in the state at the Dallas IT Serve Alliance meet. Telangana's IT Minister Sridhar Babu also participated in the event.

Addressing a large assembly of IT Serve Alliance, the biggest association of IT Services organizations in the US, Reddy and Babu encouraged members to invest in Hyderabad and Telangana, and to engage with the numerous projects and opportunities being created for the diaspora. (ANI)
