Valeo Bolsters Pune Capacity with New Manufacturing Facility for Electronics
Mobility technology company Valeo has launched a new power electronics product manufacturing facility in Pune, enhancing its production capacity from 900 kW to 1,600 kW. This move aligns with the firm's strategy for deeper localisation and long-term competitiveness in the Indian electric vehicle market.

Mobility technology firm Valeo announced the inauguration of a new power electronics product manufacturing facility in Pune on Friday, aimed at boosting production capacity.
The new plant will elevate Valeo's capacity to 1,600 kW from the existing 900 kW without disclosing the investment figure. 'This new facility is central to our strategic localisation and long-term competitiveness plan for electrification products,' stated Yann Keraudren, Vice President of Valeo Power Asia Regional Operations.
As India's EV market expands, Valeo aims to provide technology solutions that are both adaptable and cost-competitive for the Indian market. 'Valeo Pune is committed to workforce diversity and sustainability, employing over 40 individuals with disabilities over the past five years,' added Jayakumar G, Valeo India's Group President & Managing Director.
