Air India Takes Off with Airbus A350 on Ultra-Long-Haul Flights

Air India launched Airbus A350 services for ultra-long-haul routes, with the first deployment on the Delhi-New York route. Despite temporary flight cancellations due to maintenance issues, Air India plans regular A350 service to Newark starting next January. Feedback has been positive, and further fleet updates are planned.

Air India, a private airline, has launched Airbus A350 services on ultra-long-haul routes, beginning with the Delhi-New York flight.

This decision comes as the Tata-Group-operated carrier temporarily cancels around 60 flights to U.S. destinations due to maintenance and supply chain issues affecting its widebody aircraft availability.

After a successful introduction on the Delhi-London route, Air India now plans to operate A350 flights five times weekly to Newark starting January 2, 2024, as part of a broader strategy to enhance its ultra-long-haul services to North America.
