US FAA proposes streamlining commercial space launch rules

​The ‌Federal Aviation Administration said ​on Tuesday ‌it is proposing new rules to streamline and ‌modernize commercial space ‌launch and reentry regulations.

The five new proposed ⁠rules ​include ⁠allowing operators to submit launch ⁠applications electronically, provide ​greater flexibility to demonstrate equivalent ⁠levels of safety, ⁠combine three ​required safety analyses into ⁠a single submission, and eliminate ⁠duplicative ⁠safety analyses.
