Confectionery giant Mondelez India Foods Pvt Ltd has achieved a remarkable 71.85% rise in profits, reaching Rs 2,020.87 crore in FY24, as reported in their latest RoC filing. The company's revenue also witnessed a substantial increase, growing by 13.3% to Rs 12,746.98 crore.
Mondelez India's total consolidated income for the year climbed by 20.7% to Rs 13,782.45 crore, showcasing their robust financial performance. This growth is attributed to their extensive brand portfolio, including Cadbury Dairy Milk, Bournvita, and Oreo, which continue to captivate Indian consumers.
Despite its financial success, Mondelez India faced challenges earlier this year when a social media controversy erupted over the health claims of Bournvita. The Ministry of Commerce intervened, advising e-commerce platforms to reclassify such products. This advisory followed a viral video questioning Bournvita's immunity-boosting claims, which the company legally contested.
