Karnataka has announced a tremendous success at the Global Investors' Meet, with investment proposals exceeding Rs 10.27 lakh crore. This influx is expected to generate six lakh jobs across the state, according to M B Patil, the state's Medium and Large Industries Minister.
Highlighting the geographic diversity within these investments, Patil noted that 75% of the capital will be directed towards areas outside Bengaluru, significantly benefiting North Karnataka. Renewable energy leads the investments with Rs 4.26 lakh crore, followed by manufacturing at Rs 1.38 lakh crore.
Key stakeholders like JSW Group, Mahindra Susten, and Volvo are participating, with JSW pledging Rs 1.2 lakh crore. The state has prioritized greenfield projects, aiming for sustainable, long-term growth. The minister assured a rigorous due diligence process to ensure the reliability of these commitments.
