Reliance Infrastructure Ltd has reported a substantial increase in its consolidated net loss for the December quarter, amounting to Rs 3,298.35 crore. This represents a stark increase compared to the Rs 421.17 crore net loss recorded in the same period the previous year, as revealed in the company's exchange filing.

Despite the increase in losses, Reliance Infrastructure saw its total income rise, reaching Rs 5,129.07 crore, up from Rs 4,717.09 crore during the same quarter last year. The company remains a key player in providing engineering and construction services across sectors such as power, roads, metro rail, and other infrastructure domains.

Interestingly, the company reported a decline in expenses, reducing to Rs 4,963.23 crore from Rs 5,068.71 crore in the third quarter of the previous fiscal year. This highlights the ongoing challenges and evolving dynamics within the infrastructure industry.
