Tata Group Bolsters Semiconductor Ecosystem with New Partnerships

Tata Group is stepping up its investment in the semiconductor industry with plans to ink agreements with 10 additional companies, announced Chairman Natarajan Chandrasekaran at the Advantage Assam Investors Summit 2.0.
Chandrasekaran heaped praise on the Assam government for its industrial-friendly environment, saying, "Assam is setting a benchmark in governance." The state's initiatives have made it a hub for semiconductor players worldwide.
A significant investment is earmarked for a Tata Electronic Facility in Assam, expected to inject Rs 27,000 crore. This facility aims to produce 48 million chips daily and employ over 30,000 people, touted as the largest in Southeast Asia.
