Jharkhand's Economic Ambition: Aiming for Rs 10 Trillion by 2030
The Jharkhand economy is projected to grow by 7.5% in 2025-26, surpassing national growth rates post-COVID. With an impressive average growth of 9.1% between 2020 and 2024, Jharkhand aims to become a Rs 10 trillion economy by 2029-30. However, per capita income remains among the lowest in India.

The Jharkhand economy is poised for a significant leap, with projections indicating a 7.5% growth in the 2025-26 fiscal year, according to the state economic survey.
In the assembly, Finance Minister Radha Krishna Kishore highlighted that the state aims to outpace national growth, achieving a Rs 10 trillion economy by 2029-30.
While acknowledging its aspirations, the survey also noted Jharkhand's low per capita income, ranking 26th in the nation, and stressed maintaining inflation control as it aligns with RBI limits.
