Chhattisgarh Energizes Future with ₹3 Lakh Crore Investment at Summit 2025

Chhattisgarh has announced a significant achievement in amassing investments amounting to ₹301,086 crore for its energy sector through diverse industrial proposals at the 'Chhattisgarh Energy Investors Summit 2025'. According to the state government, these investments aim to enhance energy infrastructure across various platforms, including nuclear, thermal, solar, and pumped storage power generation. The strategic infusion of funding is expected to not only boost industrial benefits but also extend affordable and consistent electricity access to the populace.
Highlighting the initiative's potential, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai stated that these investments will elevate Chhattisgarh's power generation capacity, fostering a shift towards sustainable and renewable energy. The state's vision is to become self-reliant in energy and establish itself as a pivotal energy hub in India. Notably, the proposed investment in the thermal sector amounts to ₹107,840 crore, with private players and public sector undertakings (PSUs) actively participating.
Private companies, led by Adani Power, have shown robust involvement, while public sector entities like NTPC and CSPGCL are also making substantial contributions. Plans include a massive 4,200 MW nuclear power project by NTPC and solar energy ventures by Jindal Power and NTPC Green. Additionally, the PM Kusum Yojana and other initiatives target sustainable development, benefiting farmers with solar power solutions.
