Passenger vehicle dispatches from manufacturers to dealers saw a 4% increase year-on-year in September, according to data from the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) released on Wednesday. The industry body reported a total of 3,72,458 units dispatched last month, compared to 3,56,752 units during the same period in 2024.

In addition to passenger vehicles, two-wheeler sales also experienced an uptick, with a 7% rise year-on-year, amounting to 21,60,889 units sold last month. This growth comes as a positive indicator for the automotive sector, reflecting increased consumer demand and market resilience.
