The West Bengal government will host a significant business conclave on December 18, aimed at showcasing investment avenues within the state. This was confirmed by an official statement on Friday.
Amit Mitra, the Chief Advisor to the Chief Minister and Finance Department, emphasized that the event will spotlight industrial achievements from the past while laying out future growth strategies for West Bengal. The conclave, set to be held at the Dhano Dhanyo Auditorium in Kolkata, will see the attendance of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
With assembly elections scheduled for next year, the conclave takes on added importance. Senior officials, including the chief secretary, convened earlier to finalize the event's details. The state's prominent Bengal Global Business Summit (BGBS), held earlier in the year, saw investment commitments of Rs 4.4 lakh crore announced by Banerjee.
