Zambian govt to harmonize trade balance with China, pitches Minister in Addis Ababa

China is always on the vanguard to invest in the South African nations. Recently, the government of Zambia has declared that it is committed to harmonizing its trade balance with China.
According to Joseph Malanji, Zambia’s Foreign Affair Minister, the government is eager to ensure that trade is harmonized in order for both the nations to have a win-win situation with regards to trade volumes. While speaking during a bilateral meeting held with Assistant Foreign Affairs Minister of the People’s Republic of China, Chen Xiaodong in Ethiopia’s capital Addis Ababa on February 6, Joseph Malanji opined that his government prefers to ensure that it exports more finished products to China and attain a status of being a middle-income country by 2030, Lusaka Times reported.
Malanji also extolled the bilateral relations between Zambia and China that were anchored on solidarity, mutual respect, practical cooperation and mutually reinforced interests. During his speech, he urged the government of China to assist Zambia with support in coordinating peace efforts in the region and the continent at large.
