India to Investigate Air India Crash at NTSB Headquarters
India will send investigators to the U.S. to review data related to the Air India flight crash in June. They plan to share findings with the National Transportation Safety Board. The meeting will take place in Washington D.C., with representatives from Boeing and other parties also in attendance.
India is set to dispatch investigators to the United States next week to collaborate with the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) on probing the fatal Air India flight crash from June, Bloomberg News reported.
The mission will involve evaluating data from the aircraft's cockpit voice and flight data recorders, with findings to be exchanged between the parties. As per the report, representatives from Boeing and other stakeholders will also be present at the NTSB's Washington D.C. headquarters.
While the NTSB has not commented, referring queries to Indian aviation authorities, the incident involved a Boeing 787 Dreamliner that lost thrust and altitude shortly after departing Ahmedabad for London, claiming nearly all onboard lives and additional casualties on the ground.
