IndiGo airline witnessed a significant improvement in its operations across Madhya Pradesh, as flight cancellations were reduced by approximately 50% from the previous day, officials reported.
On Saturday, 20 flights or 40 aircraft movements were cancelled from five airports in the state. Indore experienced the highest number of cancellations with 26, followed by Bhopal and Jabalpur with fewer disruptions. However, Khajuraho and Gwalior airports reported no cancellations.
Passengers, despite facing high airfares, refrained from lodging substantial complaints. Airport officials worked diligently to manage the situation, providing refunds and arranging food and accommodations for those affected. Airport directors expressed optimism for a return to normal operations within days.
