The Ghaziabad railway station in Uttar Pradesh has successfully widened its platforms to tackle congestion and improve passenger flow, the Railway Board announced on Thursday. This development is part of ongoing efforts to manage increasing footfall and enhance safety and comfort for travelers.
The widening of Platform Nos 5/6 and 3/4 aims to boost capacity and convenience for rail users. Specifically, Platform Nos 5/6 saw a width increase of approximately 4 meters in the middle and 1.5 meters at the ends, while Platform Nos 3/4 expanded by 4 meters in the middle and 2 meters at the ends, covering significant lengths.
Officials highlight that these upgrades will ease congestion during peak hours, improve passenger safety, and optimize operational efficiency. The Railway Board emphasized that this project demonstrates their dedication to advancing passenger infrastructure and delivering safer, more comfortable travel conditions.
