Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Friday underlined the state government's commitment to cultivating a dynamic startup ecosystem to foster innovation and creativity among young entrepreneurs.
He highlighted the strides made through various state-backed initiatives that aim at nurturing startups, such as the Assam Venture Capital Fund with a corpus of Rs 200 crore, and the 'CM Atmanirbhar Assam Abhijan', which provide crucial financial aid and resources to emerging businesses.
On National Startup Day, Chief Minister Sarma celebrated the contributions of these initiatives in shaping Assam's economic future, noting that 615 entrepreneurs have already been incubated under the Assam Startup scheme since its launch in 2021.
