Assam's Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma emphasized the state's dedication to fostering a robust startup ecosystem. With initiatives like the Assam Venture Capital Fund and the CM Atmanirbhar Assam Abhijan, the government aims to support young entrepreneurs, fostering innovation and enterprise within the state.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Friday underlined the state government's commitment to cultivating a dynamic startup ecosystem to foster innovation and creativity among young entrepreneurs.

He highlighted the strides made through various state-backed initiatives that aim at nurturing startups, such as the Assam Venture Capital Fund with a corpus of Rs 200 crore, and the 'CM Atmanirbhar Assam Abhijan', which provide crucial financial aid and resources to emerging businesses.

On National Startup Day, Chief Minister Sarma celebrated the contributions of these initiatives in shaping Assam's economic future, noting that 615 entrepreneurs have already been incubated under the Assam Startup scheme since its launch in 2021.
