The frenzy began as early as 4 am, with desperate locals gathering at the agency's gates. Upon the gate opening at 7 am, the scramble intensified, prompting near-stampede conditions as people hoisted cylinders onto their heads and shoulders.

District Supply Officer Vimal Kumar Shukla assured that there was no shortage of LPG in the district. The panic, he explained, stemmed from confusion over increased OTP-based bookings and spread of misinformation. State authorities remain vigilant to prevent further panic buying amid fuel shortage rumors.
