Soaring Indian Pharmaceutical Exports: Breaking Market Records
Indian pharmaceutical exports have surpassed USD 28 billion, showing a growth of 5% compared to the previous year. The sector is predicted to expand to USD 130 billion by 2030. Despite global challenges, including pricing pressures and trade volatilities, the industry has maintained consistent growth.

Indian pharmaceutical exports have exceeded the USD 28 billion mark up to February this financial year, reflecting a growth of five percent compared to the same period last year, according to a senior official.
K Raja Bhanu, Director General of the Pharmaceuticals Export Promotion Council of India (PHARMEXCIL), revealed these statistics, highlighting the sector's current value of approximately USD 60 billion.
The industry is projected to grow to USD 130 billion by 2030. Despite worldwide challenges, including global pricing pressures and trade volatilities, pharmaceutical exports increased to USD 30.47 billion in FY 2024-25, marking a year-on-year growth of 9.4 percent.
