The National Backward Classes Finance and Development Corporation (NBCFDC) has reported its highest-ever disbursement of Rs 613.75 crore for the fiscal year 2025-26, benefiting 61,621 individuals across India, according to the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment.
This financial achievement marks a 16% increase over the last year, ensuring extensive geographical coverage and nearly full utilization of available funds to empower the socio-economic status of Other Backward Classes (OBCs).
Through initiatives such as the VISVAS Interest Subvention Scheme and support for self-help groups, NBCFDC continues to lead efforts in increasing access to concessional finance across the country.
