Amid growing security concerns, the French shipping company CMA CGM reported that one of its vessels, the Saigon, sailed safely along the Omani coast after navigating the perilous Strait of Hormuz. According to vessel tracking data, the ship was previously within the Gulf.
The incident that has raised alarms involved another CMA CGM ship, the San Antonio, which was attacked on Tuesday while attempting to pass through the Strait of Hormuz. Some crew members sustained injuries during the attack, stirring fears among maritime operators.
CMA CGM has remained tight-lipped about the incidents, refraining from providing any comments on the situation or the measures it plans to implement to safeguard its crew and vessels in such volatile waters.
