Revitalizing Maharashtra's Fisheries: New Jetty in Burondi

Maharashtra Minister Nitesh Rane has announced the government's plan to establish a fishing jetty at Burondi in Dapoli taluka, Ratnagiri, to bolster the fisheries sector in the region.

The move comes as part of efforts to address challenges faced by local fishermen and provide necessary infrastructure for the industry's growth. Burondi, a key fishing village, will benefit significantly from this development.

Rane highlighted that the proposed jetty would improve transportation, reduce costs, and create new employment opportunities, ultimately boosting the local economy. The project aligns with ongoing work at Harnai fishing harbour under the Centre's Fisheries and Aquaculture Infrastructure Development Fund.
