The Reserve Bank of India launches its annual survey on Computer Software and ITES Exports for the 2025-26 round. This initiative aims to evaluate India's tech exports. With mandatory reporting for exporting entities, submissions are due by July 15, 2026, using RBI's advanced web-based platform.
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has officially launched its annual survey concerning Computer Software and Information Technology Enabled Services (ITES) Exports, marking the start of the 2025-26 round. The survey's objective is to provide a comprehensive evaluation of India's technology exports sector, as revealed in a press release by the central bank.
This initiative collects critical data from tech-based exporting corporations across various segments, including computer services and business process outsourcing. The results are crucial for public dissemination and play a significant role in compiling India's external sector statistics. All software and ITES/BPO service exporters must adhere to the mandatory reporting requirements, with submissions due by July 15, 2026.
The process has been streamlined through advanced technological infrastructure, including a web-based submission system via the Centralised Information Management System (CIMS). This ensures data consistency and provides automated email acknowledgments upon successful submission. While this round allows for submissions via the SMS system, the traditional excel-based reporting will be phased out by the next survey round.
