Two cargo vessels operating under Panamanian and Barbadian flags were reportedly attacked as they moved through Ukraine's Black Sea navigation corridor, according to the Ukrainian Ports Authority.
The authority revealed on Telegram that one vessel was en route to the crucial port of Odesa, laden with metal, while the other was transporting grain away from the port. The attack, allegedly executed by Russian drones, includes the responsibility being claimed by Odesa region governor Oleh Kiper on Telegram.
A fire erupted on one vessel but was swiftly extinguished by the crew. Fortunately, there were no injuries, and both ships managed to resume their respective journeys.
