Heads of States of Kenya, Mozambique, Ethiopia in China to attend Second BRFIC

Chinese Vice Premier Han Zheng met with President of Kenya, Uhuru Kenyatta on April 25. The Kenyan leader is currently in Beijing to attend the Second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation scheduled for April 25 to 27.
China is willing to deepen Belt and Road cooperation with Kenya under the principle of extensive consultation, joint contribution and shared benefits, and constantly advance the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between the two countries, Han said.
Kenyatta said Kenya is willing to deepen cooperation with China on economy, trade and other areas, and the country hopes to implement the outcomes achieved at the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation together with China.
Chinese top legislator Li Zhanshu met with Mozambican president Filipe Nyusi, who came to China to attend the second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation. Referring to the Belt and Road Initiative as an open platform to promote cooperation on equal footings to achieve win-win outcomes, Li, chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC), welcomed Nyusi to attend the forum, as stated by Xinhua.
China stands ready to work with the Mozambican side to implement the consensus reached by the two heads of state, strengthen efforts for the Belt and Road construction, and further upgrade mutually beneficial cooperation in agriculture, energy and resources, as well as infrastructure, Li said while hailing the development of bilateral ties and progress of pragmatic cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative.
President of China, Xi Jinping welcomed Prime Minister of Ethiopia, Abiy Ahmed after the African leader reaches China. Chinese Vice Premier Han Zheng met him on April 24 ahead of the Second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation (BRFIC) to be held from April 25 to 27 in China's capital, Beijing.
Hailing that China and Ethiopia are good friends and good partners, Han, also a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, said China stands ready to sustain the momentum of high-level exchanges with Ethiopia, strengthen strategic synergy, deepen pragmatic cooperation in various fields, and promote the in-depth development of friendly bilateral relations. China also hopes that Ethiopia will make greater achievements in their national development and revitalization, Han added, as reported by Xinhua.
