In a shocking development, four instructors from Cornell College in Iowa were assaulted in a public park in northeastern China's Beihua University, according to officials from the US school and the State Department.

Cornell College President Jonathan Brand noted that the instructors were with a faculty member from Beihua at the time of the attack in Jilin, an industrial city.
