CBI Takes Charge in NEET-UG Scandal, Arrests and Debarments Soar

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has officially taken over the probe into alleged irregularities surrounding the NEET-UG medical entrance exam. This move follows a recommendation from the Union education ministry.
Meanwhile, the Economic Offences Unit (EOU) of Bihar Police has intensified its crackdown, arresting five more individuals involved in the alleged paper leak. This raises the total number of arrests to 18.
As the investigation progresses, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has barred 17 more students from Bihar for detected malpractices, affecting a total of 110 candidates so far.
