Arizona State University (ASU) is making strategic moves to strengthen its presence in India, announced by President Michael M Crow. The university has embarked on collaborations with five Indian universities, namely Chitkara University, Shiv Nadar University, Anurag University, RV University, and Rajalakshmi Engineering College, aiming to expand partnerships with up to ten institutions.

ASU aims to provide Indian students access to dual-degree programs and advanced digital learning resources. Crow highlighted plans for a potential advanced 'agentic' university in India, leveraging AI-enhanced educational technologies developed over 15 years. This initiative aligns with India's revised policies allowing foreign campuses.

While ASU has not confirmed setting up a standalone campus, the institution emphasizes deepening its Indian footprint through innovative, technology-driven learning. The collaboration reflects a broader trend of US-India educational partnerships, positioning ASU as a key influencer in India's higher education landscape.
