Speaking in the Rajya Sabha, Tiwari underscored that the government's promises, such as the "Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao" campaign, have not translated into action. He referenced a UDISE report revealing decreased enrolment and inadequate infrastructure, particularly in states like Uttar Pradesh and Telangana.

Tiwari suggested this trend indicates growing economic inequality and criticized the government's focus on publicity over education, urging for a clear response and strategy to reverse the enrolment decline.
