School Clash in Patteeswaram: Class XII Student Injured
A Class XII student from a government school in Patteeswaram was seriously injured following an attack by Class XI students. The clash occurred at the Government Arignar Anna Model Higher Secondary School, escalating from previous tensions between the two grades. The injured student received medical care in Thanjavur.

A Class XII student from a government school located in Patteeswaram sustained serious injuries in an altercation involving Class XI students, the police reported on Saturday.
The confrontation erupted at the Government Arignar Anna Model Higher Secondary School. According to police, tensions had been rising between the two classes, culminating in Friday's clash in Therodum Keezhaveethi, Patteeswaram. More than 14 Class XI students reportedly attacked a Class XII peer, striking him with a wooden rod.
Upon hearing of the incident, the severely injured student's parents rushed him to the Kumbakonam Government Hospital before he was moved to a private facility in Thanjavur for further treatment. The Patteeswaram Police have detained the 14 students involved in the assault, placing them in a juvenile home as investigations continue.
