India is poised to become a major destination for foreign universities, with a potential to serve over 5.6 lakh students and save USD 113 billion in foreign exchange by the year 2040, according to a recent report by Deloitte India and Knight Frank India.

The study, titled 'Global universities eye India opportunity', highlights the strategic opportunities and real estate demand for such institutions. It evaluates the readiness of 40 Indian cities, identifying Delhi-NCR, Bengaluru, and Mumbai as the most prepared markets for international universities.
