In a statement posted on social media, Fernandes expressed concern over the safety of his audience, crew, and himself. He revealed that despite issuing an apology and removing the contentious video, the threats have continued.

'Nobody is ready to guarantee our safety,' Fernandes disclosed, emphasizing that he did not intend to malign anyone and that comedy should be about unity and laughter. Singh warned that if the event proceeded, his followers would react strongly, urging police intervention to stop the show.
