In a landmark visit marking the 75th year of diplomatic relations between the two nations, Modi's trip was the first by an Indian Prime Minister to Austria in over four decades. He interacted with Dr Birgit Kellner, Prof. Martin Gaenszle, Dr Borayin Larios, and Dr Karin Preisendanz, sharing insights and views on the deep-rooted academic connections between Austria and India.
During his visit, Modi also held a significant meeting with Nobel Laureate Anton Zeilinger, discussing the role of Quantum Computing and contemporary advancements in Quantum Technology. The Prime Minister highlighted India's National Quantum Mission, emphasizing the nation's commitment to fostering tech and innovation ecosystems.
