Arriving in New Zealand as part of her three-nation tour, Murmu was honored with a Royal Guard of Honour. Governor General Dame Cindy Kiro hosted a State Banquet at Government House in Murmu's honor, with key New Zealand dignitaries, including Prime Minister Christopher Luxon, in attendance along with prominent members of the New Zealand Indian community.
Murmu and PM Luxon pledged to further bilateral ties, focusing on education, trade, and culture.
