Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu Announces 'Dehra Utsav' to Promote Local Culture
Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu announced that 'Dehra Utsav' would be celebrated by the end of this year to promote local culture and attract tourists. During his visit to the Dehra Assembly Constituency, he inspected development projects and instructed acceleration in identifying land for various offices. He also emphasized boosting tourism and instructed electricity and water supply surveys for upcoming projects.

Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Friday announced that 'Dehra Utsav' would be celebrated by the end of this year to promote local culture and attract tourists.
During a visit to the Dehra Assembly Constituency, Sukhu inspected land sites for various offices and development projects. He directed the district administration to expedite the process of identifying suitable land for the newly planned Superintendent of Police office and other offices in Dehra, a statement issued here said.
Sukhu also inspected ongoing constructions, including the fire station, SDM office, hospital, sericulture office, and schools at Dehra. During interactions with school students, he urged teachers to keep students informed about current events, especially noting concerns over their general knowledge. Highlighting tourism opportunities, he announced 'Dehra Utsav' to boost local culture and tourism by year's end.
The Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board has been instructed to survey and address electricity issues in Dehra, considering the infrastructure needs for upcoming projects like the Central University Campus and an international zoo.
Sukhu also called for Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) on drinking water schemes in several villages. Additionally, new bus stands and a sports stadium are planned to enhance commuter facilities and encourage youth participation in sports, keeping them away from drug abuse.
