Oman Rises as Top Destination for Indian Tourists

Oman has become a preferred destination for Indian tourists with arrivals surpassing 6 lakh last year, marking a 70% increase. Oman aims to enhance its appeal in India through various initiatives targeting luxury, culture, and adventure tourism. Oman has solidified its status as a preferred destination for Indian tourists, as evidenced by a 70% increase in visitors over the previous year, totaling over 6 lakh travelers.

Speaking in Mumbai, Undersecretary Azzan Qassim Al Busaidi attributed the surge to the proximity between Oman and India, which fosters a sense of being almost at home.

The upward trend continues, with a 15% increase in the first five months of 2024. Oman is determined to enhance its appeal through initiatives like residential workshops, consumer promotions, and luxury brand campaigns.
