Audi Clash: Couple Arrested for Assaulting Cab Driver in Mumbai

In a recent incident in Mumbai, a couple was booked for allegedly assaulting an Ola cab driver following a dispute over a minor traffic accident involving their Audi car, as confirmed by the police on Friday.
The altercation, which has garnered widespread attention after a video went viral on social media, depicts the man violently hurling the 24-year-old cab driver to the ground, resulting in severe head injuries. The case was reported to authorities by the cab driver, Kayamuddin Ansari, who had been travelling towards Ulwe in Navi Mumbai at the time of the incident.
Police reports indicate that the incident began around 11:20 PM on August 18 near Asalpha Metro station. Following a rear-end collision involving the Audi and Ansari's cab, the couple—identified as Rishabh Chakravarti and his wife Antara Ghosh—allegedly confronted and abused Ansari. Subsequent events led to Chakravarti physically assaulting Ansari at a building entrance in Ghatkopar, an act captured on CCTV. The couple has been issued a court notice as the investigation continues.
