Protests Erupt in Agra Against Valentine's Day Celebrations

In Agra, several Hindu organizations launched protests on Friday against Valentine's Day celebrations, which they labeled a 'Western imposition.' Led by the Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha, participants gathered to express their disapproval by burning an effigy, symbolizing their resistance.

The demonstration commenced at Subhash Park, where activists ignited the effigy in a symbolic gesture of opposition. Following this, demonstrators, some carrying sticks, moved through various city parks while articulating their grievances. They condemned what they saw as the 'obscenity' linked with Valentine's Day.

During the protest, Saurabh Sharma, District President of Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha, addressed media representatives, asserting that Valentine's Day is an adoption from Western culture with no place in Indian civilization. Sharma emphasized that parks become hubs of indecency, and vowed to resist such behaviors.
