Two men in Punjab's Moga district, Gagandeep and Sukhwinder, have been celebrated for their selfless act of helping stranded schoolchildren. Heavy rains had washed away a portion of the road they were trying to cross, leaving around 35 children stuck.

As the children attempted to navigate their way home, they encountered a broken road connecting Malleyana to Rasulpur village. The villagers, noticing their plight, stepped in, with Gagandeep and Sukhwinder volunteering to bridge the waterlogged gap using their own bodies.

The incident, captured on video and circulated on social media, shows the duo assisting not just the children, but also a man and woman. Their kind-hearted efforts were formally acknowledged by the local panchayat in a ceremony at a gurdwara.
