Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan asserted that the resolution to the Kashmir issue is through education, not violence, during the Chinar Book Festival inauguration. He highlighted Kashmir's educated society as central to this solution.
Pradhan noted significant changes following the 2019 abrogation of Article 370, emphasizing the gradual restoration of democratic processes and implementation of beneficial programs in Jammu and Kashmir. He mentioned the revival of grassroots-level representation through local elections.
Crediting improvements in tourism and local businesses, Pradhan expressed optimism about the region's progress. He also announced plans by the National Book Trust to enhance library movements and translate local language books, marking an effort to establish the Chinar Book Festival as a lasting event.
