On Tuesday, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla underscored the importance of Artificial Intelligence (AI) serving humanity, not controlling it. Speaking at the international conference 'Faith and Future: Integrating AI with Spirituality' in Haridwar, Birla emphasized the need for AI to be grounded in spiritual wisdom and ethical responsibility to contribute positively to society.

The conference, organized in collaboration with the Future of Life Institute, USA, aimed to explore how AI can enrich the human experience. Birla highlighted the challenges and innovative solutions offered by AI, advocating for the global sharing of India's strengths in morality and truth. He noted AI's potential to spread India's ancient wisdom worldwide, transforming sectors like healthcare and education.

Highlighting ancient Indian ideals such as 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam' and 'Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah', Birla called for inclusive and equitable AI development. He expressed hope that the conference would spark meaningful global dialogue between spirituality and technological advancement, steering humanity towards a more compassionate future. The event also saw the presence of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and other dignitaries.
