India, with its rich cultural heritage, is poised to become a leading tourism destination, he said, combining ancient traditions with modern dynamics.

The minister envisioned tourism as a USD 1 trillion sector driving job creation and economic prosperity by 2047. As India approaches a century of independence, Shekhawat called for a united effort to harness its cultural legacy as a global bridge, fostering growth in tourism, wellness, and human connections.
