Tamil Nadu's Chief Minister M K Stalin on Saturday initiated the dispatch of a ship carrying essential relief materials to cyclone-ravaged Sri Lanka.
The consignment included 300 MT of rice, along with sugar, lentils, milk powder, medicines, clothing, and was valued at Rs 1.19 crore.
Previously, Tamil Nadu extended similar support during Sri Lanka's 2022 economic downturn as Cyclone Ditwah impacted nearly one million Sri Lankans, causing 212 deaths.
