Honoring Ambedkar: Legacy of Justice and Progress

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath commemorated B R Ambedkar's 69th death anniversary, highlighting Ambedkar's warnings against those who denounce India despite benefiting from it. Adityanath announced initiatives for protecting Ambedkar's heritage and advancing welfare for marginalized communities, honoring Ambedkar's struggle for dignity and empowerment.

During a program marking B R Ambedkar’s death anniversary, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath cited the Indian Constitution architect's foresight of threats from those disparaging India's sanctity while enjoying its benefits. Adityanath referenced Maulana Mohammad Ali Jauhar's desire to be buried in Jerusalem as an example.

Adityanath announced protective measures for Ambedkar's statues against vandalism, including building boundary walls and installing canopies. The government aims to connect all remaining unconnected slums and settlements to essential services, ensuring inclusivity in development efforts.

He also emphasized enhancing welfare for marginalized communities under the 'Zero Poverty Mission’ and ensuring government benefits reach SC, ST, and other disadvantaged groups. Adityanath praised Ambedkar’s legacy of justice and equality, affirming its ongoing influence under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s governance.
